Cardboard & Creatures:
a mask making adventure
The Sustainability Committee invites you to turn trash into treasure and masks into magic. Get ready to create your own Halloween mask using recycled cardboard and a bit of imagination! Whether you transform into a woodland creature or a funny-faced fantasy being, you’ll be celebrating sustainability and creativity all in one.
To participate:
-
Cut up cardboard (delivery boxes, packaging scraps - whatever you’ve got)
-
Craft your mask at home or in the office. Some BL offices will host a DIY mask-making luncheon, so keep an eye out for a meeting planner from your office ESOP reps!
-
Use paint, scissors, string, newspaper, scraps and tape/glue to bring your character to life
-
Snap a photo of your finished mask (or wear it for a selfie!) and submit it to the Sustainability & ESOP Communications Committee here.
You'll earn:
5 tickets for each mask you make up to 5 masks (maximum is 25 tickets total)
3 tickets for sending in photos of your creations to Heather Halotek.
Templates and inspiration will be provided to get everyone started. BL will get crafty and give cardboard a second life one magical mask at a time!
